Poetry

In a world,
Polluted by lies and decay,
Suffocating under the hunger of it's residents,
Rancid with hate and tyranny,
And friends
Stabbing each other in the streets,
Depression more common than potable water,
And genocide
Streamed across national television,
Shouldn't we care
About more than poems?
